As a guy, I can vouch for this. When it comes to texting a girl, we’ll never shy away from it if we like her. 

We’ll show initiative and text you first because we miss you and want to nurture the bond by facilitating a date.

Even in long-distance relationships, good morning texts or initiating contact with you first is one of those little signs a guy likes you.

2. They double text

Guys who really like a girl will double text her at some point or the other. 

They just can’t help themselves. 

I can’t begin to tell you how many emails I receive on a daily basis from guys who like a girl and can’t stop themselves from double or triple texting her when she’s busy.

I can attest to the fact that guys who like a girl will compliment her over text all the time. We can’t help ourselves.

Ordinarily, guys will almost bombard a girl with compliments during three phases –

• During the very early days of courtship.
• When he realizes that you’re starting to like him. 
• When he starts dating you. 

Then, there’s guys who will just compliment you always because he feels that strongly about you.

7. They check up on you

If you’re ever too busy or unwell, it is the guys who like you that will be the first to text and check up on you.

They will be caring and comforting.

You’ll be able to tell from their frequent texts and sincerity that they missed you and were worried about you.

For a guy to miss you and worry about you, he must actually have some degree of care and attachment for you.

8. They open up to you about themselves

If you listen carefully to some of the complaints a girl will have with a guy she likes but who doesn’t like her, it’s that he’s very jaded or closed up.

She’ll push and push to only be met with more resistance. 

He won’t open up. But, the opposite is true as well.

You won’t find yourself desperately trying to read between the lines to find even a small hint that he likes you.
